In 2015, Jon commenced his first Oil & Gas project with Bechtel on the Wheatstone LNG Project, working in the EPCM contracts team as a contracts administrator. Initially engaged to assist with the peak construction period, Jon quickly established himself as a key member of the team, overseeing the contractual and financial management of several sub-contracted scopes of work, with a combined value exceeding $5Bn AUD.
Over the five (5) year engagement (2015 to 2020), Jon moved into roles of increasing responsibility, working as the Site Contracts Manager, and finally as one of the primary focal points for project closeout. In this role Jon was able to commercially and financially close the project, both with the down and upstream supply chains, whilst maintaining strong client and supplier relationships.

Jon’s strength lies in his ability to understand and resolve complex commercial related matters. His optimistic and enthusiastic approach to the work he does allows him to build rapport with stakeholders rapidly, which helps to reach mutually agreeable outcomes expeditiously.
